Nigerian Youth Parliament launches new social media accounts
The Nigerian
Youth Parliament (NYP) has announced the launch of new social media accounts to
enable online engagements among Nigerian youths on matters relating to their
overall well-being.
Speaker of the
Nigerian Youth Parliament, Rt. Hon Ayodele Obe, in a short statement listed the
social media accounts of the NYP as; Twitter: @theNYPofficial and
@speakerayoNYP, the NYP Instagram page was listed as @ngryouthparliament while
the Speaker affirmed the official Facebook pages are; Nigerian Youth Parliament
and Speaker Nigerian Youth Parliament.
The
administration of the late President Musa Yar’Adua on August 25, 2008
established The Nigerian Youth Parliament as a legislative body that is
responsible for putting into viable form the genuine aspirations of the Nigerian
youth in order to convert these aspirations into a legal document tenable
within the confines of the Nigerian constitution.
Currently in its
third session, the Nigerian Youth Parliament was inaugurated on December 16, 2015
by President Muhammadu Buhari and was represented by the Minister of Youth and
Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung.
