Manchester United VS Liverpool: Liverpool Fans Angry Anthony Taylor Is Referee

Manchester native Anthony Taylor has been appointed to referee the match between Liverpool and Manchester United next Monday and this has not gone down well with Liverpool fans.

The two English giants go head to head on Monday night for the first time this season and it is a game which will certainly have many eyes peeled across the continent.
Jurgen Klopp got one over Jose Mourinho last season when the latter was in charge of Chelsea, meaning Manchester United could certainly have their work cut out when they meet at Anfield in six days.

And the man who will be ensuring things do not get out of hand on the pitch is Taylor, who is given the big task of handling one of English football’s biggest and oldest rivalries.
The 37-year-old’s appointment has certainly left many Liverpool fans annoyed, after Taylor was born in Wythenshawe in Greater Manchester and lives in Altrincham – just six miles away from Old Trafford.

It is a similar case to that of Everton fans, who were not happy last season when Taylor was appointed for the FA Cup semi-final clash with Manchester United at Wembley - although he did hand the Toffees a penalty that day.
