Barcelona Want This Liverpool Player, To Offer A Midfielder As Makeshift

Philippe Coutinho has been a transfer target for Barcelona for some time now.

With his skillful flair and close friendship with Neymar, all the signs would appear to point the Brazilian to the Catalan capital.

Because when Barcelona come calling, they invariably get their man – as Liverpool well know, having lost Javier Mascherano and Luis Suarez to the Catalan giants in recent years.

However, Coutinho recently committed his future to Liverpool by signing a long-term deal, and he appears very content at Anfield, talking of how at home he and his family feel on Merseyside.

They’re even ready to offer Ivan Rakitic as a makeweight.

The Croatian midfielder has slipped down the pecking order at the Camp Nou this season, and has lost his starting place to Andre Gomes.

Were he to move to Liverpool, he’d be one of the first names on the team sheet…

How much money would be involved isn’t made clear by Don Balon, but Barcelona would obviously still have to stump up some cash, as it’s not a straight swap.
