FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2017: Nigeria Draws Italy, Mexico
Nigeria's
Supersand Eagles have been drawn in Group B alongside Mexico, Italy and a
yet-to-be-determined Asian opponent for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2017 scheduled
for 27 April to 7 May 2017, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The
official draw for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2017 which took place at the
Hotel Atlantis in Nassau in the capital city of the Bahamas, revealed the hosts
will face Switzerland in their opening match of the competition on 27 April in
Group A, which also includes Ecuador and African champions Senegal.
In
Group C, Paraguay, Portugal, Panama and a team from the Asian qualifying
tournament will battle for places in the quarter-finals.
In
Group D, four-time champions Brazil were drawn alongside 2015 runners-up
Tahiti, European champions Poland and a yet-to-be-determined Asian opponent.
Asia's
three representatives at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Bahamas 2017 will be
determined at the regional qualifiers taking place between 4 and 11 March.
