I'm Still Chelsea’s No.1 - Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho last night reminded Chelsea fans he is still the 'Special One' after the Blues knocked Manchester United out of the FA Cup quarter-finals with an N'Golo Kante goal at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea
fans had taunted Jose Morinho, calling him "Judas", but the former
Blues boss responded:
Mourinho:
"They
can call me what they want. Until the moment they have a manager that wins four
Premier Leagues for them, I'm number one.
"When
they have somebody that wins four, I become number two. Until this, Judas is
number one."
A
typical Mourinho, released his frustration on referee Michael Oliver for his
decision to send off Ander Herrera in the 37th minute.
Mourinho:
"We
all watched the match until the red card and after the red card and then we can
compare the decision of the two yellow cards in this case with other ones that
were not given, but I don't want to go in that direction," he said.
"Mr
Oliver - a referee with fantastic potential. United were a bit unlucky. In four
matches, three penalties and one red card but again I cannot change that."
Mourinho approached Oliver after the game
but did not bring up the red card. He said:
"I
shook his hand, I told him many congratulations. There is nothing to speak
about."
Chelsea
captain Gary Cahill paid tribute to man of the match N'Golo Kante after the
midfielder's goal proved decisive.
Cahill said of Kante:
"He's
been fantastic. He has come here and has kicked on again. He's such a humble
guy off the pitch, works hard. He's a tremendous addition to the squad and he's
won us the game."
Chelsea manager Conte said:
"It
was a good performance against a very strong team.
"For
me, United have the best squad in the league and we are very pleased to go into
the next round and to beat a great opponent."
