Monaco 3-1 Manchester City (6-6agg): Man City Crash Out Of Champions League
Manchester City crashed out of the Champions League on away goals as Monaco produced another blistering scoring display to secure a 3-1 second-leg win.
The hosts needed a two-goal cushion to level the scores on aggregate and put themselves in control on away goals.
Much like in the first leg, it was a frantic start to proceedings and Mbappe broke the deadlock with just eight minutes on the clock for his 11th goal in as many games.
City were all at sea, unable to cope with Monaco's intensity, and soon found themselves pegged back again with less than 30 minutes on the clock.
Benjamin Mendy was again the architect, finding space on the left to find fellow full-back Fabinho to stab home.
City needed a response in the second half and they grow in confidence as Monaco retreated knowing they held the away-goal advantage.
Twice Sergio Aguero was guilty of missing chances, with Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane not helping with poor decision-making when in good positions.
Sane, though, found himself in the right place at the right time to tuck the ball home after Danijel Subasic parried a shot.
The aggregate lead lasted just six minutes as Tiemoue Bakayoko headed home what proved to be the winner as City crashed out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage.
