PFA Player Of The Year, N'Golo Kante Still Drives A Mini
Craig Shakespeare, Leicester manager insists N'Golo Kante will
remain level-headed despite being crowned PFA player of the year after
revealing the star still drives a mini.
Shakespeare knows Kante well after
the Frenchman joined Leicester in August 2015 for £5.6million from Caen and
helped them win the title last season.
A £30million move to Chelsea
followed last summer and he is on course to win the title again.
The midfielder's stunning form saw
him succeed Riyad Mahrez as Premier League player of the year.
Foxes coach Shakespeare reflected:
“It is fully deserved in terms of his contribution on the pitch and also his
personality.
“It was a Leicester player last
season and a former Leicester player this season so our recruitment department
can take a pat on the back for that.
“N'Golo used to come to
training with us in his mini and as far as we know he still drives his mini.
“He popped in to see us
recently at the hotel when we played Crystal Palace which sums his personality
up.
“He came in to see the staff and the players.
“We all looked for a big Bentley
outside but he is still in his Mini.
“He always keeps his feet firmly on
the ground.”
