3 Dead As Bus Plunges Into River In Lagos
Three passengers on board a 48-passenger interstate bus coming to Lagos from Enugu got drowned and others critically injured Friday at about 3.am, when the bus plunges into a river in Ikorodu area of Lagos.
Ibrahim Farinloye, spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA), in south-west in a text message to our correspondent Friday morning said some passengers survived the incident.
He however disclosed that nine passengers rescued by emergency officials were being attended at the Lagos state emergency trauma centre, located at toll gate, along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
However, check by Metro-news revealed that the bus belong to GUO Nigeria Limited and the driver and conductor may have got drown and died when it plunges into the river.
