Sheriff Meets Jonathan As Security Blocked PDP Meeting
The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji
Ali Modu Sheriff, on Monday met with former President Goodluck Jonathan
at the ex-President’s Abuja home.
The meeting took place hours after security agencies cordoned off the International Conference Centre, where the party Caretaker Committee, led by Ahmed Makarfi was to hold an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting.
Sheriff arrived at Jonathan’s Maitama home at 4.25 p.m., accompanied by some members of his National Working Committee (NWC).
Those that accompanied Sheriff included the Deputy National Chairman, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh;
National Secretary, Prof. Wale Oladipo and the National Financial Secretary, Adewole Adeyanju.
Others are former Political Adviser, Ahmed Gulak; a former Minister of State for Finance, Yerima Ngama and Senator Umar Gada, among others.
